Leidian town

Leidian town is a town under the jurisdiction of Deqing County, Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province. It is located in the middle of Deqing County, bordering Tangqi Town, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City in the south, Xin'an town in the East and Qianyuan town in the West. The ancient canal and Zhejiang S304 Provincial Road (09 provincial road) cross the territory, 18 km away from Wukang County, 40 km away from Hangzhou city. Leidian town has a mild climate, rich in LEIDIAN pearl and Yangdun loquat. At present, leidian town covers an area of 54 square kilometers, with 12 administrative villages, 1 neighborhood committee and 47135 permanent residents (2017). In recent years, leidian town has conscientiously implemented the scientific outlook on development, actively implemented the strategy of "opening up and driving, connecting with Shanghai and Hangzhou", and achieved remarkable economic and social development. In 2009, the total industrial output value was 9.6 billion yuan, an increase of 23%; the total agricultural output value was 400 million yuan, an increase of 10%; the fiscal revenue was 180 million yuan, an increase of 15.3%; and the per capita net income of farmers was 12289 yuan, an increase of 10%.

Historical evolution

Leidian town got its name because of its location. In ancient times, it was called leidian in the suburb. In the early Ming Dynasty, pan Donglei, a famous scholar, lived here, so later generations named it leidian. From the end of the Qing Dynasty to the time before liberation, leidian Township, Shuangxi Township and Baiyun Township were under the jurisdiction. They were liberated in May 1949. In July of the same year, they were established as four small townships of leidian, Yangdun, Tangbei and Shuangxi. In February 1956, they were merged into two townships of leidian and Tangbei. In October 1958, the two townships merged into leidian people's commune, with six administrative areas. In 1959, the administrative area was abolished, and 14 administrative villages and one aquatic village were set up. In 1982, leidian people's commune was renamed LEIDIAN township. In 1987, the administrative township system was changed to town system, that is, leidian town. In 2000, the area was adjusted, and there were 12 administrative villages and one aquatic village under its jurisdiction.

It is 40 kilometers away from Hangzhou City, 18 kilometers away from Wukang, 18 kilometers away from Linping, and 160 kilometers away from Shanghai River and 09 provincial road cross the territory. Leidian town has a mild climate, hot and rainy season, four distinct seasons, rich products and an average annual temperature of 16.1 degrees. The average number of frost free days is 239 days, and the average annual rainfall is 1373.6 mm. It is famous for its rich production of "LEIDIAN pearl" and "Yangdun loquat".

Leidian town is located in the west of Hangjiahu Plain in Zhejiang Province, the east foot of Mogan and the Bank of Dayun River. 09 provincial road passes through the territory. It is connected with 104 National Road, 320 National Road, hang Ning Expressway and Hu hang expressway. The ancient canal crosses the whole territory. Xuan hang railway and Ning hang high speed railway are close at hand. Highway, railway and waterway freight transportation is very convenient.

Leidian has convenient geographical location and obvious advantages. It is a satellite town in Huzhou, separated from Yuhang District of Hangzhou by a grand canal, and the South Gate of Deqing facing Hangzhou.

Local specialties

Yangdun loquat

Leidian Yangdun loquat was listed as a tribute as early as the Tang Dynasty. Local people also have the saying that "Tangqi loquat comes from leidian, and leidian loquat comes from Yangdun". Yangdun loquat has a long history. There are four kinds of loquat: red variety, white sand variety, grass variety and wild head variety. Red variety and white sand are the best. Red seed, yellow flesh with red color, amber color, sweet and slightly sour, thick skin, flesh can be stored and transported; white sand, light yellow flesh with white color, turpentine color, sweet juice fresh, thin skin, soft flesh, abundant water, famous in Jiangsu, Zhejiang and Shanghai markets.

Shuangxi watermelon

Although the planting time of leidian Shuangxi watermelon is not long, it has enjoyed a high reputation in Huzhou, Yuhang and other places, showing a trend of catching up. With Guoxing shares, common people's agronomy and leidianqichu three planting workshops as the leader, covering an area of 862 mu, the main varieties are small gift melon, orange, nabit, zaohongyu, Xiuli, Xiaolan, texiaolan, etc.; open field watermelon youdianxin No.1, 87-14, ZAOJIA, Meiduo, etc. Among them, there are only two places in our province where people grow oranges and watermelons.
