Kangqiao Street

Kangqiao street is located in the north of Gongshu District, covering an area of 12.8 square kilometers, with Banshan street in the East, Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal in the west, Shangtang street in the South and Chongxian street in Yuhang District in the north. It has 11 communities under its jurisdiction, with a permanent population of more than 15000 and a floating population of more than 35000.

Kangqiao street was originally located in the semi mountainous area of Hangzhou city. In 1990, with the approval of the State Council, the semi mountainous area and Gongshu District were abolished, and a new Gongshu District was established based on the administrative division of the former semi mountainous area and Gongshu District. Kangqiao was set up as Kangqiao town. On December 28, 2010, the town was successfully removed and the street was built, becoming the Tenth Street in Gongshu District, which was Street oriented throughout Gongshu District.
