It was called Liupu in ancient times. In 1954, Nanxing bridge, Haiyue bridge, Zhakou and other streets were established, belonging to Jianggan District. In 1957, Zhakou street and haiyueqiao street were merged into huaxianqiao street. In 1960, it was the production and living service station of Zhakou, huaxianqiao, haiyueqiao and Nanxingqiao under the jurisdiction of Jianggan commune. In 2003, the two streets of Nanxing and Zhakou were abolished, and a new Nanxing street was set up; meanwhile, the two communities of Xingong and Fenghuang of Nanxing street were all included in Ziyang Street; in the same year, seven communities of Shannan, Fuxing Nanyuan, Fuxing Beiyuan, Haiyue garden, Yuhuang, meizheng and Songcheng were abolished, and six communities of Shuicheng bridge, Mantou mountain, Haiyue bridge, Yuhuang mountain, Fuxing street and meizheng bridge were set up.
