Tangyang town is located in the southernmost tip of Dongtai City, Jiangsu Province, with convenient land and water transportation. Chenli highway and panbaogan river run through the north and south. The town has 17 village committees, 4 neighborhood committees, 44004 people (in 2017), with a total area of 107.44 square kilometers (in 2017). It is a civilized town in Jiangsu Province. The town government lives in tangxin road. Meaning of place names

Tang Yang was formerly known as Tang Jiayang. According to the records of the geographical records of the Ming Dynasty, in 1369, officials of the Tang family came here to supervise the fishing industry, so there was an east-west ocean (harbor) on the beach, so it was named Tang Jiayang. After liberation, it was called Tang Yang for short.
