Yintu town

Yintu town is a combination of Yinji town and Tugou town. It is a civilized town in Jiangsu Province and a health town in Jiangsu Province. It is subordinate to Jinhu County, Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province. It is located in the east of Jinhu County, adjacent to the beautiful Gaoyou Lake in the East, the Huaihe River waterway in the west, the Taji town in the south, and Baoying Lake farm of the State Agricultural Reclamation Corporation in the north. It has the reputation of East bridgehead of Jinhu bridge and East Gate of Jinhu County. The town is across the river from Jinhu County, connected by a bridge, 5 kilometers west of the county. It belongs to Huainan polder area of Lixiahe River in the lower reaches of Huaihe River and is one of the five towns of Lixiahe River in Central Jiangsu. The administrative region covers an area of 133.07 square kilometers (2017), with a population of 38901 (2017), and governs 20 village committees and 5 neighborhood committees.

In October 2019, Yintu town was selected as one of the "Top 1000 towns with comprehensive strength in China in 2019". In December 2019, it was selected as "civilized township of Jiangsu Province in 2016-2018".

On May 18, 2015, the people's Government of Jiangsu Province agreed to abolish Yinji town and Tugou town of Jinhu County, and set up Yintu town as the administrative area under the jurisdiction of Yinji town and Tugou town.
