Linian Township

Linian township is located at the junction of Jiangsu and Shandong provinces and three counties. Its geographical coordinates are 118 degrees 36 minutes east longitude and 34 degrees 40 minutes north latitude. It borders Tancheng County in Shandong Province in the west, Linshu County in Shandong Province in the north, Wenquan Town in the East and shuangdian town in the south. It is the north gate of the East China Sea regional development. 310 National Highway and Hongxia highway crisscross the territory. Linian Township now governs 11 administrative villages, including linian, Shizhai, Chacha, Gaonian, Huishan, Loushan, lianwang, shanxitou, Gaoshan, Wozi and Wulian, more than 60 natural villages and 95 villager groups, with a total area of 70.09 square kilometers, a town area of 3 square kilometers, a cultivated land area of 7072 hectares, 11 administrative villages and a population of 36128 (2017). In 1941, linian Township belonged to Gaonian District, later changed to Yuxi District, belonging to Tancheng county and hailing County in Shandong Province; now it is a township under the jurisdiction of Donghai County.

In July 2020, the National Patriotic Health Association decided to name linian township as a national health township for the period of 2017-2019.

The enrollment rate of junior high school is 100%. There is a central health center in the township and 11 clinics in the village.
