Diaobingshan is named after Diaobingshan. In the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906), the hall of Faku gate was set up. Diaobingshan, Daming and other villages and towns were under the jurisdiction of Faku hall. In 2002, Tiefa City, the 20th anniversary of its founding, was renamed Diaobingshan city with the approval of the State Council. Diaobingshan is a new coal industry city and one of the top 100 counties in China. Wushu city in the jurisdiction has been rated as "one of the four ancient buildings of Liao and Jin Dynasties" by Liaoning Provincial Tourism Bureau.

In the 32nd year of the reign of Emperor Guangxu of the Qing Dynasty (1906), the hall of Faku gate was set up. Diaobingshan, Daming and other villages and towns were under the jurisdiction of Faku hall. There are 30 clubs in the hall. Diaobingshan is the first village of the security society, which has jurisdiction over 17 villages. Daming Anbei is the first village of Anqing society, which has jurisdiction over 12 villages. In 1910, fakuting changed 30 communes into one city and ten townships, Diaobingshan was Dongyi Township, which was still the seat of the association, Anbei village in Daming was Donger Township, and Baijiagou was the seat of the association.
In the second year of the Republic of China (1913), Faku was changed into a county according to the government's unified planning and the order of the local government. Since then, Diaobingshan and Daming have been under the jurisdiction of Faku County. Daqing, Xiaoming and other places have always been the jurisdiction of Tieling county.
On September 21, 1981, with the approval of the State Council, Tieling county and Faku County were divided into different administrative regions to establish cities, which were named Tiefa City because of their proximity to Tieling City and Faku County.
In October 1984, Tiefa City was changed into Tiefa District of Tieling City.
