Shanyin County, a famous historical and cultural city, is a county under the jurisdiction of Shuozhou City, Shanxi Province. It is located in the north of Shanxi Province, between 112 ° 25 ′ - 113 ° 04 ′ E and 39 ° 11 ′ - 39 ° 47 ′ n. Historical evolution

During the spring and Autumn period, it was the residence of Beidi. During the Warring States period, it was the territory of Loufan County, Yanmen County in Zhao Dynasty, Yanmen County in Qin Dynasty, Tao County and yinguan County in Han Dynasty. Later, it changed its name through the evolution of generations.

The Tang Dynasty belonged to Jincheng County of Yingzhou.
