Xindu District Xindu District, under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City, Sichuan Province, is located in the north of Chengdu City, with a total area of 497 square kilometers. It borders Qingbaijiang District, Longquanyi District, Chenghua District and Jinniu District in the southeast, Pidu District in the west, Pengzhou City and Guanghan City in the north. Located in the west of Sichuan Basin, Chengdu Plain is a geomorphic pattern developed on the basis of Chengdu depression. It belongs to subtropical humid monsoon climate, with early warming but unstable temperature in spring, hot and heavy rain in summer, rapid cooling and continuous rain in autumn, dry and cloudy in winter. It has jurisdiction over 7 streets and 2 towns, and the district government is located at 92 Guihu Middle Road, Guihu street. In 2019, there will be 918000 permanent residents.
Founded in the late spring and Autumn period, Xindu is one of the "three capitals of ancient Shu". It has a history of nearly 2800 years. It is a provincial-level historical and cultural city in Sichuan Province. There are national key cultural relics protection units Baoguang temple, yangsheng'an temple and Guihu. There are provincial cultural relics protection units Xinfan Donghu, longzang temple and Aiwu Tomb of Yangshen family. Xindu District is an important node city of Chengdu Deyang Mianyang Economic Belt, located on the north central axis of Chengdu urban development, and the starting point of "Chengdu Europe Express Railway" and "South Silk Road".
In 2019, the GDP of Xindu District will reach 82.48 billion yuan.
Xindu is the capital of ancient Shu. It was built around the 7th century ago by Kaiming, the king of Shu, after he became emperor. It is a famous city in Shu with Guangdu and Chengdu. It has a history of more than 2700 years.
In the fifth year of King Shen (316 BC), Emperor Huiwen of Qin sent Zhang Yi and Sima CuO to invade Shu. After Qin destroyed Shu, Xindu county (juntun Township, Xindu District, Chengdu City) was established in the 26th year of Shihuang (221 BC), under the jurisdiction of Shu county.
In the sixth year of emperor Gaodi (201 BC), Ba and Shu were divided and Guanghan county was set up. Xindu county was assigned to Guanghan county.
From the first year of the beginning to the first year of the reform (8-23 years), during the new dynasty of Wang Mang, Guanghan county was changed into the capital, and the new capital belonged to the capital.
In the 25th year of the reform, Gongsun took charge of Shu and changed Guanghan County into Zitong county. The new capital belonged to Zitong county. Gongsun Shu was defeated, and the old system of the Western Han Dynasty was restored in the Eastern Han Dynasty. The new capital belonged to Guanghan county.
In 266, Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty set Liangzhou in Hanzhong and Xindu in Guanghan. Xindu county belongs to Liangzhou, which commands Luo County (now Guanghan City), Shifang County, Mianzhu County and Xindu county.
In the third year of Xianning (277), Emperor Wu of Jin granted Sima the title of king of Xindu and changed Xindu County into Xindu state. In the sixth year of Taikang (285), Sima Dang had no son to inherit, abolished the new capital state and restored it to Xindu county. In the same year, the county was abolished and the new capital county was still Guanghan county.
During the reign of emperor an of Jin Dynasty (397-418), Shikang county was set up to govern Chengdu and lead Shikang, Xincheng, tan and Jinfeng counties. In 502, Qiaoxian and Qiaojun were abolished, and Shikang county was moved from Chengdu to Xindu county. Shikang county is under the jurisdiction of Yizhou, which is located in the south of today's Xindu city. Xindu county is located in Shengping village of today's juntun town.
In 553, the second year of the abolishment of the emperor of the Western Wei Dynasty, the state of Liang in the Southern Dynasty was conquered, the land of Shu was leveled, Shikang county was abolished, and the new capital was changed to Shu County in Yizhou.
In 598, Emperor Wen of the Sui Dynasty changed the name of Xindu county to xingle County, and moved the county office from the army to Xindu town.
In the third year of Daye (607) of emperor Yang of Sui Dynasty, the Prefecture was changed into a county, and the two-level system of county and county was implemented. The prefecture and county were merged into the province, Xingle county was abolished and merged into Chengdu County, which was subordinate to Shu county.
In the second year of Wude (619), Emperor Gaozu of the Tang Dynasty, Xingle county was restored, and then Xindu county was renamed, belonging to Yizhou.
In the late Tang Dynasty, the Five Dynasties, the Song Dynasty, the Yuan Dynasty, the Ming Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty, the new capital had many changes in its membership, and its name remained unchanged until the Republic of China.
In 1935, the KMT unified the Sichuan government and set up the Sichuan provincial government, which divided Sichuan Province into 18 administrative supervision districts. Xindu county was the first administrative supervision district until 1949.
On October 1, 1949, the people's Republic of China was founded. Sichuan Province was divided into four administrative offices: East Sichuan, West Sichuan, South Sichuan and North Sichuan. Xindu county was subordinate to Wenjiang Office of the West Sichuan travel agency.
In April 1952, Chengdu county was abolished and Sanhe township was designated as Xindu county.
In 1954, Tongxing and Renhe townships of Huayang county were divided into Xindu county.
In February 1960, Xindu county was abolished and merged into Xinfan county.
In October 1962, Xindu county was restored.
In July 1965, Xinfan county was abolished and merged into Xindu county.
In March 1983, the administrative office of Wenjiang District was incorporated into Chengdu City, and the system of city governing county was implemented. Xindu county was under the jurisdiction of Chengdu City.
In 1992, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved the establishment of Xindu Industrial Development Zone.
On November 15, 2001, the State Council agreed to abolish Xindu county and establish Xindu District of Chengdu, with the former administrative region of Xindu County as the administrative region of Xindu District.
On January 2, 2018, the people's Government of Sichuan Province approved to recognize Xindu Industrial Park as a provincial high-tech industrial park, named Xindu high-tech industrial park.
In 1985, Xindu County governed 3 towns and 22 townships. They are Xindu town, Xinfan town and Shibantan town; Guihu Township, Guilin Township, Tianyuan Township, Sanhe Township, Dafeng Township, Longqiao Township, banzhuyuan Township, zhuyou Township, Long'an Township, Gaoning Township, Liji Township, Qingliu Township, Qingbai Township, Xinnong Township, Xinmin Township, Hetun Township, juntun Township, Majia Township, Baishui Township, Longhu Township, Taixing Township and Mulan township.
In 1988, Xindu town merged with Guihu Township and renamed Guihu town. In 1990, Guihu town was renamed Xindu town, still the seat of the county people's government. In the same year, Dafeng township was abolished and Dafeng Town was built. Xindu county has jurisdiction over 4 towns and 20 townships.
In 1992, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Tianyuan Township and Guilin Township were abolished and merged into Xindu town; Qingbai Township and Xinnong Township were abolished and merged into Xinfan town; Baishui township was abolished and merged into banzhuyuan Township and set up banzhuyuan town; Hetun township was abolished and merged into Xinmin Township and set up Xinmin Town; Gaoning township was abolished and merged into Liji Township and set up Liji town; Qingliu Township, Longhu Township, Taixing Township, Majiang Township and Sanhe Township were abolished, respectively Dafeng Town, Shibantan town and five townships of Longqiao, longan, Mulan, zhuyou and juntun are reserved. Xindu County governs 12 towns and 5 townships.
In 1994, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Longqiao township was abolished and lilongqiao town was established. In 2001, Mulan Township, juntun Township, zhuyou Township and Long'an Township were abolished, and towns were set up respectively, and their administrative areas remained unchanged.
In 2003, Xindu town, Xinfan Town, Dafeng Town and Sanhe Town set up sub district offices respectively to work together with the town government. The management mode of "two brands and one set of personnel" was implemented, and the jurisdiction area was the same as the town.
In November 2004, with the approval of Sichuan provincial government, Longhu town was abolished and merged into Xindu town; Liji town was abolished and 10 villages under its jurisdiction, such as Tongyi, Tongfu, Shuili, Yingxiang, Shuangli, Jiepai, Yongming, Liuquan, Shunhe and Yuantong, were classified into Qingliu town; Long'an town was abolished and Gongyi, Jinshui, Qushui, Tonglian, Shiyun, Guangji and xinpang under its jurisdiction were incorporated into Liji town The areas of 8 villages, such as zhuyou, Ninghe, etc., were classified as Xinfan town; zhuyou town was abolished and merged into banzhuyuan town. The administrative areas of Dafeng Town and Sanhe Town will be managed by sub district offices. Xindu sub district office and Xinfan sub district office work together with the newly established people's governments of Xindu town and Xinfan town respectively. The management mode of "two brands and one set of personnel" is implemented. The administrative areas under their jurisdiction are the same as those of the newly established towns.
By the end of 2005, Xindu District had jurisdiction over 11 towns and 2 streets. They are: Xindu town (Xindu Street), Xinfan town (Xinfan Street), Dafeng street, Sanhe street, Longqiao Town, banzhuyuan Town, Xinmin Town, Majia Town, juntun Town, Taixing Town, Mulan Town, Shibantan town and Qingliu town.
In 2005, Xinyi, Shuangbai, HuangGuo, Yuanyuan, Shizhuang and Changlin villages in Longwang Town, Qingbaijiang District, and Hejiang community and Huilong village and jinsanjiao community in Huangtu Town, Longquanyi District were put under the jurisdiction of Shibantan Town, Xindu District, with a population of 16612 and an area of 15.6 square meters.
On October 16, 2013, Xindu town, Xindu District, Chengdu City was abolished, and Xindu sub district office of Xindu District, Chengdu City was established, which governs the administrative region of the original Xindu town, and Xindu sub district office is located at No.9 Zirui street.
On December 25, 2019, Chengdu Municipal People's Government approved the adjustment of administrative divisions of some towns (streets) in Xindu District (CFH  No. 125)
