Historical evolution

At the turn of the Ming and Qing Dynasties, there were only a few families in Heping District near the marshes of luoshiquan and Shili Wharf in the south.

In the middle of the 17th century, temples such as Xita and Huangsi were successively built in the northern border of Heping District, and cooking pot workshops such as Yongcheng and Yongyuan were successively built.

In 1840, after the Opium War, the invaders turned this fertile land into "two places".

In 1898, tsarist Russia, in the name of "jointly running the eastern Provincial Railway", coerced the Qing government to divide more than 10700 mu of land in the west of Heping District into "railway land" under its jurisdiction.
