Minqing County Minqing County, hereinafter referred to as "Mei", is a county under the jurisdiction of Fuzhou City. It is located in the east of Fujian Province and in the middle and lower reaches of Minjiang River, with a total area of 1466 square kilometers, under the jurisdiction of 11 towns and 5 townships.
In the first year of Liang Qianhua (911) after the Five Dynasties, Xu Jiang, the first number one scholar in Bamin of the Song Dynasty, and Chen xiangdao, a neo Confucianist and Chen Min, a musician, emerged. Bai Yuchan, a poet, calligrapher and painter, and the five ancestors of Nanzong Taoism, is a modern patriotic overseas Chinese leader, Huang Naishang, a contemporary famous hepatobiliary expert, academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and winner of the highest national science and technology award Meng Chao and other celebrities.

Historical evolution
Minqing is called Mei for short. In the first year of Zhengyuan (785 AD), Meixi farm was set up in Shili, Xixiang, Houguan county. It was upgraded to a county and later renamed Meiqing county. In the first year of Qianhua (911), after five dynasties, Meixi and Minjiang River confluenced. The river water was turbid and the river water was clear, so Minqing County was renamed. It belongs to Fuzhou, changlefu, Dongdu, Fuzhou, fuanfu, Fuzhou Road, Fuzhou Fu and minhaidao.
It was liberated on August 15, 1949. In 1950, it belonged to Minhou District, changed to Nanping District in 1956, returned to Minhou District in 1959 (Minhou district was renamed Putian District in 1971), and returned to Fuzhou City in 1983.
Song Dynasty divided into Fengzheng and Shouning. Yuan and Ming Dynasties are still along the old line. In 1661, it was divided into Shengping, Hefeng and Jingliang, Jingshan, Suilai, Chunhua and Huaide. In 1936, Meinan district was divided into three districts. In 1936, Meicheng, Yuwen and Baitai, Banling, Jinsha, Longfeng, Helong, Qingxi, Shuangzhi, Shancun and Lingping were divided into three districts.
In 1949, it was still along the old line. The people's commune system was implemented in 1958, and it was divided into 16 people's communes in 1961 and 17 people's communes in 1983.
In 1984, the administrative commune was separated, and each commune was changed into township (town), with a total of 3 towns and 14 townships. After that, Yunlong township was added, and 7 townships were changed into towns in succession.
In 2000, provincial Huang township was abolished and provincial Huang Town was established. By the end of 2000, Minqing County had jurisdiction over 11 towns, including Meicheng, Dongqiao, Xiongjiang, Meixi, Jinsha, Baizhang, Baizhong, Bandong, Chiyuan, tazhuang and Shenghuang; 7 townships, including Xiazhu, Julin, Yunlong, Sanxi, Houjia, Jiatou, Shanglian, and 17 neighborhood committees and 271 village committees. It covers an area of 1466 square kilometers and has a population of 304100. According to the data of the fifth census, the total population is 288598, including 35432 in Meicheng Town, 22416 in Meixi Town, 20048 in Baizhang Town, 12948 in Jinsha Town, 18641 in Baizhong Town, 22332 in Chiyuan Town, 39293 in Bandong Town, 21217 in tazhuang Town, 17639 in Shenghuang Town, 5195 in Xiongjiang Town, 18451 in Dongqiao Town, 11410 in Yunlong Township, 7690 in Shanglian Township, 866 in Jiatou Township and 866 in Houzhou township There are 3329 in Jiaxiang, 8362 in Sanxi, 6339 in Julin and 16990 in Xiazhu.

The merged Shanglian township has 18 village committees: Shanglian, Xiping, Xincun, Lianpu, Shangzhai, Tianxi, Shiliu, xiafeng, Shangfeng, Jiatou, datuqian, Jiezhong, Fuxing, Jiayang, Beixi, Linzhong, dingyang and Zhangli. Shanglian township government is located in Shanglian village. After the adjustment of administrative divisions, Minqing County has jurisdiction over 11 towns and 5 townships: Meicheng Town, Bandong Town, Chiyuan Town, Meixi Town, Baizhang Town, Baizhong Town, tazhuang Town, Dongqiao Town, Xiongjiang Town, Jinsha Town, Shenghuang Town, Yunlong Town, Shanglian Town, Sanxi Town, Xiazhu town and Julin town.
