Chinese idiom, Pinyin is Yu á ng ǔ C ì J ī n, which means to quote the ancient meaning of a story to satirize the present. From Sheng'an poetry.
The origin of Idioms
The sixth volume of Sheng'an Shihua written by Yang Shen in Ming Dynasty: "to help the past and to stimulate the present, to guard against gains and losses is called admonition."
Idiom usage
Used as predicate, attribute, object, etc. In Tiandou, the descendants of zaowei, the general notice to the Han people, there is a saying that "to narrate and chant history, but the habit of the poet can not be used to help the past and the present."
