The origin of Idioms
Guanzi Mingfa: "it's because of the loss of the official's governance that the Lord rewards him with reputation and punishes him with destruction. However, those who like to reward and punish others with evil punishment will not be able to do justice without private skill." Yin Zhizhang's note: "if you take reputation as reward and punishment, you will lose your sense."
