Synopsis

Michael Faraday (Jeff bridge) is a university history professor who has just lost his wife. He lives in the suburbs of Washington D.C. with his 10-year-old son Glenn (Spencer Clark). His wife, a former FBI agent, was killed in a service two years ago, which has always been a lingering shadow for his father and son. It was not until Lang's typical American family moved across the street from their home that the situation changed. Oliver (Tim Robbins) and Sheryl (Joan Cusack) often invite Michael and Glen to parties, and Glen and the little boy Brady (Mason gumbo) of the Lang family soon become close friends. When the two families get more and more active, Michael gradually begins to doubt Oliver. ·The film started shooting near Houston on February 2, 1998 and took 10 weeks to complete. Since 1994's "blowaway," Jeff bridge has starred in the suspense film again, playing the suspicious Michael.
