Wei liaoweng of the Song Dynasty wrote in his "letter of farewell to the governor's army, Ma Qiyi's counsellor and the Prime Minister of the military", that "the minister secretly thought that he was worried about the subject's disgrace, but he could not resign. He was ordered to step back and appoint officials, list the items of affairs, and dispatch the officers and soldiers. All those who wanted to make a quick move were not careful."
