Synopsis

"The work of lifting a hand" tells the story of Wallace (played by Benedict Cumberbatch) who was tortured in the past, and James (played by Colin salmon) who was a former comrade in arms, fell into violence again when he came to seek help. It has been seven years since he retired from the army, and it has been 10 years since he met the American comrade in arms who saved his life during the mission in Iraq. Now he makes a living by the skills he learned in the army, and carefully hides the secret battles and the trauma syndrome. One day, when he finally decided to try to start a relationship, James, an old comrade in arms, put all his eggs in one basket and asked him to do him a small favor. How could he refuse his Savior?
