As a Chinese idiom, Pinyin is j ī NGJ ī ngy ì y ì, which means to be cautious and diligent. It comes from empress dowager Bian's eulogy by Cao Zhi of the Three Kingdoms.
Definition: it describes being cautious and diligent. It is the same as "conscientious".
