The tragedy of Fox and rabbit is a Chinese idiom. Pinyin is h ú t ù zh ī B ē I, which means that when fox dies, rabbit will be sad. When rabbit dies, fox will also be sad. It is a metaphor for feeling sad because of the death of the same kind. It comes from Yongchuang sketch: Huang Shudu's two false arguments.

Only then can they be complacent. They think that their name is high because of the death of their comrades. How can they bear it?"
