The origin of Idioms

In the Analects of Confucius, Ji Shi said, "a friend is a good one, a friend is a good one, a friend is a sycophant, and a friend is a loser." Xing min Shu: "good and soft, that face soft, and pleasant color to tempt also."

Idiom usage

It is used as adverbial and commendatory to describe kindness and amiability. Xun Shuang's women's commandments in Han Dynasty: sleeping in the dark and thinking in the morning, sleeping at night and getting up early, having a pleasant face, doing things like relying on others, being upright and clean, is called obedient women. Chapter 8 of Liu e's travels to Lao can in the Qing Dynasty: Shen Ziping came forward in a hurry and said the whole story with a pleasant face. Chapter 33 of the history of civilization: "it's a shame to ask them to donate money. If you send your son to take the exam, you'll be happy."
