In Chapter 97 of the chronicles of the Eastern Zhou Dynasty written by Feng Menglong of the Ming Dynasty, "fan Ju changed his fresh clothes and made up to look miserable. He went out of the mansion and came to the post house. He walked slowly and met Xu Jia."
Idiom story
Fan Ju accompanied Xu Jia, a senior official of Wei state, to the state of Qi. Xu Jia suspected that he was connected with Qi and reported to Wei Xiang after returning home. Fan Ju was wrongly wounded, changed his name to Zhang Lu, and fled to the state of Qin to become prime minister. Xu Jia sent an envoy to the state of Qin, and fan Ju went to see him as a poor man. When Xu Jia saw that he was so cold that he sent him a robe, he was scared to apologize again and again when he found out that he was the Prime Minister of Qin. Fan Ju didn't kill him
