The Chinese idiom, f ú sh à nhu à y í n in pinyin, means that those who do good are blessed and those who do evil suffer. From Shangshu tanggao.

It comes from Shangshu tanggao: "the way of heaven is good for fortune, good for misfortune, and evil for summer, so as to show the crime of Jue." The way of heaven. The good and the rich, the lewd and the poor, the reason. Zheng Xie of the Qing Dynasty used it as predicate and object to refer to the blessing of doing good and the disaster of doing evil.
