The meaning of "Pandong Qudang" refers to extensive adaptation and no inappropriateness. It comes from Volume 13 of Zhu Zi Yu Lei.
"Zhu Zi Yu Lei" Volume 13: "if you have a clear understanding of the meaning in your heart, then you can measure things from here on, naturally you should be universal." Ma Jianzhong of the Qing Dynasty wrote in his book "borrowing money to open a railway line": "if you don't find a proper way to borrow money, you should stop it because you are worried about malpractices. What's the difference between forbidding marriage because you are worried about sex shortage and abandoning hunting because you are worried about poultry shortage?" Guo Moruo's Haitao Ji: crossing the East China Sea: "it makes the ordinary Chinese, especially the prejudiced Chinese, feel that this (dialectical materialism) is not a foreign matter, but a universal truth."
