Idiom story
During the period of the Three Kingdoms, there was a minister named Yong Kai in Shu state. He was very crafty and good at steering the boat. As soon as Liu Bei died, he surrendered to the state of Wu. When Wu got this man, he sent his troops to Yongchang County. At that time, Yongchang County was still under the jurisdiction of Shu. County Magistrate Lu Kai was loyal and upright. When he heard that the traitor Yong Kai was leading his troops, he and his wife, the king of Fu Cheng, commanded the army and the people to close the gate of the city. When Yongkai rode to the bottom of the city, he saw banners on the city wall and strict discipline of the army. He knew that it was hard to win by attacking Yongchang. So he shot letters into the city many times with an arrow, persuading Lu Kai to lay down his arms and surrender to the state of Wu. Lu Kai was very contemptuous of the surrender letter. He tore it all to pieces and returned a document to Yong Kai. The book denounces his rebellious behavior, pointing out that since ancient times, people will never forget those who are upright and can work for the welfare of the people, and those shameless villains, those traitors who climb out of the dog hole, will be despised forever. Lu Kai advised Yong Kai to "change his mind" and learn from a gentleman. If he could change his ways, he could catch up with the ancients and become famous in the future. This little Yongchang is not enough for you. He was stubborn and ignored LV Kai's advice. Later, he was killed by his own ministry and ended up in a sad end.
