The film tells the story of a gap between two families caused by an accident, and even the story that one of them goes from the north to the far south and gets together again 30 years later.
On February 16, 2019, the film stars Wang Jingchun and Yongmei won the Silver Bear Award for best actor and best actress at the 69th Berlin International Film Festival. On November 23, 2019, the 28th China Golden Rooster Baihua Film Festival and the 32nd China Golden Rooster Award Ceremony were held, and "everlasting" won the "best screenwriter Award", "Best Actor Award" and "Best Actress Award". In December 2019, it was named "top 10 films of 2019" by the guardian.
Synopsis
Young Liu Yaojun and Shen Yingming are close friends. They often dance and play cards together. Their children, Liu Xing and Shen Hao, were born and grew up together. However, Liu Xing, Yao Jun's son, died in an accident while playing in the countryside, which completely changed the fate of the two families. Liu and his wife left their hometown to hide in the fishing village of Fujian, so the adopted children could not integrate into the family. Shen and his wife have a good career, but because of the accident, they have no peace. Many years later, the old face of them get together again, the hidden truth will eventually come true.
