Zhu you (1314-1376) was born in zhangan, Linhai, Zhejiang Province.

When he was young, he learned from Huang Yan, Chen Deyong and Li Xiaoguang in Yueqing. From the Yuan Dynasty to the beginning of the Yuan Dynasty (1316), he studied in Jinling, was recommended by Zhao Chengxi, the censor of Nantai, and was appointed Professor Cixi. To the center, he moved to Wufu town of Shangyu County, where he served as Shaoxing, Xiaoshan professor and Xiaoshan director. Fang Guozhen served as the governor of Jiangsu and Zhejiang Province, promoted Zhu you to the governor of zhaomo, left and right affairs of the Department and Yuan wailang. In 1370, the president of the museum recommended Zhu you and others to compile the history of the Yuan Dynasty. In six years, he was employed to compile the calendar of the Ming Dynasty and Hongwu Zhengyun. The book becomes, teaches the Hanlin to edit. In the eighth year of Hongwu (1375), he was appointed as the right chief historian of Jin palace. His works include Baiyun manuscript, Chunqiu Lei Bian, Wenheng of Qin and Han Dynasties, supplement to Yuan history and origin of human nature.

Zhu you compiled the excellent essays of Han Yu and Liu Zongyuan in the Tang Dynasty, Ouyang Xiu, Zeng Gong, Wang Anshi and "three Su" (Su Xun, Su Shi, Su Zhe) in the Song Dynasty into 16 volumes. In the middle of Ming Dynasty, Mao Kun, a scholar of Tang and Song school, inherited Zhu Youzhi's theory and added articles to separate the "three Su" and re edited the collected works of Mr. Ba and the notes of the eight great writers of Tang and Song dynasties in 144 volumes as examples of learning ancient Chinese prose. The eight great masters of Tang and Song dynasties were established in the history of Chinese literature.

At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, Chen Shuxia, Lin Jinghe and you were influenced by the grammar of Li Xiaoguang. In order to recommend the Cixi County, Qingyuan Road, Confucianism teaching instructions, tune Xiaoshan, promote the main book.

Zhizheng 20 years (1360), granted Jiangsu and Zhejiang provinces around the Department of affairs, transfer yuan wailang.

Zhizheng 21 years (1361), Zeng yique offered Heqing song, did not meet and return.

In the third year of Hongwu (1370), he called for the revision of the history of the Yuan Dynasty.

In the sixth year of Hongwu's reign, he compiled the calendar, except the Imperial Academy.

In the seventh year of Hongwu's reign, Hongwu Zhengyun was revised. Before long, he moved to the Jin government and died in the official position.

He is well versed in classics and history. He has written five volumes of Baiyun manuscript, general catalogue of Siku, spring and Autumn Annals, Wenheng of Qin and Han Dynasties, supplement of Yuan history, etc.

Life story

The next year, he played five volumes of Huangming Baoxun. When Zhu Yuanzhang drove to the Imperial Academy, Zhu Youying wrote poems on the spring sound of eaves sparrow, and was given spring clothes, Luo, silk, cloth, etc. Zhu Yuanzhang also asked Zhu you to give a lecture for his prince, Zhu Yu. In November of the same year, Fengchi and other Confucians studied the rhyme book and held a funeral in December. In the first month of the eighth year, the imperial concubines Yi Wei Che Cong and Shi li of the past dynasties were examined. They were given the chief history of the Jin royal family and were ordered to discuss the Royal rites and music with Song Lian. He died in nine years.

Main works

Zhu you was elegant in appearance. When he was in the Imperial Academy, he presented his poems to the emperor and played with precision. He looked at them with dignity. Zhu Yuanzhang attached great importance to them and called them "Lao Zhu". He is noble minded, eager for righteousness, and happy to live in poverty. He was elected Han, Liu, ou, Zeng, Wang, and Sansu as the collection of six scholars, and he was the first scholar of the "eight masters of Tang and Song Dynasties". His works include spring and Autumn Annals, Wen Heng of Qin and Han Dynasties, San Shi Gou yuan, biography of books, the beginning and end of program, and so on.
