On December 3, 2019, according to the decision of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, Xi Jinping, chairman of the People's Republic of China, appointed Zhu Jing as ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary to the Democratic Republic of People's Republic of China in People's Republic of China.
