Cao Xiyun

Cao Xiyun is Cao Xiangu, whose birth and death are unknown. She is a famous female crown in the Northern Song Dynasty. The word Xiyun, a female Taoist, was named Cao Xiangu. Later, Emperor Huizong of the Song Dynasty granted the name Daochong and added the name "master Qingxu Wenyi" and "Mr. Daozhen Renjing". He was born in Ningjin of Zhaozhou (now Ningjin of Xingtai) and was the grandson of the Cao family. There are two volumes of Cao Xiyun's poems in the history, art and literature of Song Dynasty. Su Shi once admired his poems. Since Chen Yining wrote the vernacular annotation of Lingyuan Daoge in 1930s, Cao Xiangu's name has been widely known by Taoist researchers and Qigong enthusiasts.
