Zhang Zhen (996-1074) is a native of Jinan, Shandong Province. He was a famous official in the Northern Song Dynasty.

Zhang Zhen (996-1074), whose name is Wenyu, was born in wangshirenzhuang, Licheng, Qizhou (now Jinan, Shandong). Famous officials in the Northern Song Dynasty. He was filial in nature. When he was young, he cut his own flesh to cure his father's disease. Later, he was promoted to be a Jinshi and served as the magistrate of Yidu county. During his tenure, he made great achievements. Soon after his father's death, he returned home and stayed at the side of the tomb. In the second year of Ming Dynasty (1033), he was recommended as the magistrate of Ye County. Tired official to LongTuge straight bachelor, know into the German army. After Yingzong ascended the throne (1063), he was appointed magistrate of Taichang temple and sinang temple, and served as the Minister of Hubu. Xining seven years (1074) died. He was friendly with Fan Ji, the son of fan zhengci. He is as famous as his brother Zhang Kui. ?
