It is said that this poem was written by Han family in Xuanzong period of Tang Dynasty. There is a moving story about this poem. According to Yunxi Youyi, during Xuanzong, Lu Wo, a poet, went to Chang'an to answer the exam. He came to Yugou by chance and saw a red leaf with the poem on it. He took it from the water and put it in a towel box. Later, he married a maid surnamed Han who was sent out of the palace. One day, when Han saw the red leaf in the box, he sighed: "at that time, he accidentally wrote a poem on the leaf and went with the current. Unexpectedly, Shou Wei was here. This is the story of the famous poem on red leaves. From the content of the poem, it is very similar to the tone of palace people. It is about the yearning for freedom and happiness of a person who has lost freedom and happiness.

Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty

Li Chen, Xuanzong of Tang Dynasty (810-859), Han nationality, was the 18th emperor of Tang Dynasty (847-859, not counting the Wu Zhou regime). His initial name was Li Yi and he was granted the title of King Guang. After the death of emperor Wuzong, Emperor taishu was appointed as eunuch Ma Yuanzhi. He was in office for 13 years. Looking at Xuanzong's 50 years of life, he made unremitting efforts for his ancestors, which undoubtedly delayed the decline of the Tang Empire, but he could not completely reverse this trend. Xuanzong's character was clear and incisive, his usage was unselfish, he followed the advice like a stream, he cherished the official rewards, he was respectful and thrifty, and he loved the people's goods. Therefore, the administration of Dazhong ended in the Tang Dynasty, and people thought about it, so it was called xiaotaizong.
