Wu Yulin participated in the 30th anniversary of the founding of the people's Republic of China Art Exhibition in 1979. He began to participate in all previous military art exhibitions and the 60th, 65th, 70th, 75th, 80th, 85th, 90th anniversary of the founding of the people's Army National Art Exhibition in 1981. He also participated in the 8th, 9th, 10th, 11th National Art Exhibition, the first three Chinese oil painting exhibition, Chinese art exhibition and international roving exhibition. His works won the outstanding award of the advancing Chinese youth art exhibition, the excellent award of the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Chinese army, the excellent award of the first second China still life oil painting exhibition, the excellent award of the international art exhibition commemorating the 60th anniversary of the victory of the anti fascist war, and the gold award of the classic art exhibition commemorating the New Fourth Army. His works are collected by China Art Museum and military museum. He joined the Chinese Artists Association in 1986, and was rated as a national first-class artist in 2001. From 2003 to 2009, he took a substitute course in the undergraduate class of the PLA Academy of art, and in 2014, he took a substitute course in the advanced research class of the Capital Normal University. Now he is a professional painter in the creation room of the naval political work department and an art consultant of the central state organ Artists Association.
