Liu Shen (1925-1951), also known as Liu yongqiu, was born in Dingjie, Dongshan County, Fujian Province. Born in a poor peasant family in March 1925, he took part in the revolution in Anhui Province in April 1949. He was a soldier of the 86th regiment of the 29th division of the 10th army of the Chinese people's Liberation Army and took part in the battle of marching into the southwest. After the outbreak of the war to resist U.S. aggression and aid Korea, he was incorporated into the 86th regiment of the 29th division of the 15th army of the Chinese people's Volunteer Army and went to fight in Korea in March 1951.

He died on the Korean battlefield in 1951.
