Ding Yan (date of birth and death unknown), a scholar of the Song Dynasty, was born in Suzhou (now Jiangsu). In the fourth year of Jiayou's reign (1059), he and Zhu Changwen became Jinshi together, and wrote a book named "try you Yingyan to talk about art", which says: "before the white tiger, there is a light past in Jinhua. Heaven's heart is not empty, but it's down to the common people. " He was elected in the last 20 years. One of his poems is included in volume 671 of complete song poetry. His deeds can be seen in volume 28 of Wu Jun Zhi and Volume 17 of Song Shi Ji Shi.
