Opera writers in Qing Dynasty, (1743-1818?) It is a native of Changshu (now Jiangsu Province). During the reign of Emperor Qianlong, many people failed to pass the examination. During the reign of Jiaqing, he was the magistrate of the county and taught in the Academy in his later years. There are eight kinds of legends written by him: the return of the crane, the autumn of Yanmen, the story of Yuangui and Tongjing moon, all of which exist today; while ziyunhui, jinyishu and Xuanshui are all lost today.
