Wang Yuanfu, born in November 1934 in Longkou City, Shandong Province, joined the Communist Party of China in September 1956.

In July 1951, he studied in the animal husbandry study class of Shandong Zhaoyuan Normal University and Shandong agriculture department. In December 1953, he was assigned to work in Huimin Agricultural Bureau. He successively served as technician and secretary. In June 1965, he served as deputy chief of personnel department. In December of the same year, he served as a reporter of Shandong people's radio station in Huimin. In December 1975, he was the director of the office of the Boxing County Party committee; in June 1976, he was the member of the Standing Committee and director of the office of the Boxing County Party committee; in January 1981, he was the member of the Standing Committee and deputy head of the Boxing County Party committee. He was deputy secretary and head of Zouping County Party committee in April 1984 and Secretary of Zouping County Party committee in July 1986. In December 1987, he was the director of the Supervision Bureau of Huimin District, and in March 1989, he was the Secretary General of Huimin district administration. In January 1991, he served as deputy director of the Working Committee for people benefiting areas of the Standing Committee of the provincial people's Congress. Retired in March 1995.
