Pu'an City, located in the northwest of Chiba County, used to be the hometown of fishermen. It was rich in seaweed, hatching and other fish and seafood. Since the late 1930s, land reclamation began in edokawaguchi of Tokyo Bay, and new residential and commercial facilities have sprung up. With the development of surrounding areas, the construction site of Tokyo Disneyland is also selected in Pu'an city.
Wubang area, the location of Tokyo Disneyland, opened a new shopping mall in 2000. The theme of Disney Ocean Park is the ocean of ancient and modern things and the stories related to the ocean, which was officially opened in 2001. in addition, the scenery of the former fishermen's hometown can still be discerned. Around Jingchuan, which flows into Tokyo Bay, there are some private houses that can be visited to introduce the fishermen's life in the past. The oldest folk house was built in 1869. There is a local information museum which introduces the history of Pu'an city. There are also antique clam shop and laver shop. After visiting, you can get a general understanding of the life of fishermen in the past.
