Ouyang Longsheng (1252-1308) was born in Liuyang at the end of Song Dynasty and the beginning of Yuan Dynasty. In the end of Song Dynasty, he lived in seclusion in Baiyun Village of Liuyang for 17 years. There was Wenjing Academy in Liuyang in the old time, which was a lecture place for scholars in the Song Dynasty. In the early Yuan Dynasty, the imperial examination was abolished, while the Academy was abolished. After the resumption of the imperial examination, the Ministry of rites sent envoys to Liuyang to repair the Wenjing academy, taking Longsheng as the mountain leader, and later became a professor of Daozhou road. He died at the age of 57 and was granted the title of Marquis of Bohai Prefecture and Duke of Jiayi state.
