Tianjin people, CPC member, professor. He has been engaged in German teaching for many years, mainly studying linguistics, especially German grammar.

In the 1980s, he began to study the teaching method and the theory of making syllabus and compiling teaching materials. Entrusted by the State Education Commission, he presided over the formulation and research of the syllabus for the basic stage of German major in Colleges and universities, and published many papers in academic conferences and professional journals at home and abroad. Among them, on the inheritance and characteristics of the syllabus won the second prize of Beijing Social Sciences in 1987.
