Lin Chongzhi

Lin Chongzhi, the center of the word "he Shu", was born in Putian (now Fujian) of Xinghua army in Song Dynasty. Yuan Fu three years (1100) Jinshi, Ren Du Guan Jin Bu Lang, for Linjiang (now Jiangxi Zhangshu City), Nankang (now Jiangxi Xingzi County) Taishou. Later, he was detained as an envoy to the state of Jin. He would rather die than surrender. He was 72 years old.

Life of the characters

Lin Chongzhi was born in Putian (now Fujian Province) of Xinghua army in Song Dynasty. Zhe Zong Yuan Fu three years (1100) Jinshi, Ren Du Guan Jin Bu Lang, for Linjiang (now Jiangxi Zhangshu City), Nankang (now Jiangxi Xingzi County) Taishou. In the early years of Jingkang, he was called a master and guest doctor. At the end of the Northern Song Dynasty, the territory of the Song Dynasty had been occupied by the Jin soldiers, and the Capital City Bianjing (now Kaifeng, Henan Province) was in danger. When the Jin people invaded Kaifeng for the second time, Lin Chongzhi and Chen Guoting, the Minister of Zhongshu, went to the kingdom of Jin and were detained together. Chen Guoting died. The Jin people forced Lin Chongzhi to take office in their own regime, and Lin Chongzhi would rather die than surrender. The Jin people detained him in Shangjing, but they didn't mean to give in. The Jin people took him to Xianzhou again and spent more than ten years in the Buddhist temple. Xianzhou is located in the north of China. However, Lin Chong's life became more and more comfortable. After a long time, his hair turned from white to black. At the age of 72, he was still unable to return to his roots. With grief and illness, he knelt in the South and died. Before he died, he once said to the people who died together: "I have lived for 72 years and gone to the earth with my loyalty to my country. I have no regrets. I have no revenge for those I hate." Later, the imperial court learned about Lin Chongzhi's heroic deeds and issued an imperial edict to award his second son's official position.
