Li Hongyi

Li Hongyi (1831-1885), a native of Zhongjiang, Sichuan Province, was born in Meisheng, Xiangyan and Sulin. Xianfeng first year (1851) Ju Ren, the official to Jiangsu, according to the Chashi plus buzhengshi title, the head of the military department. After his dismissal, he came to Suzhou. Fine calligraphy and inscriptions in the Wei and Jin Dynasties are all vivid. He was a good Buddhist in his later years and died at 55. His works include Su Lin's poems, Yizhou's records of calligraphy and painting, the sequel of Zhaodai's biography of letters, and oubolaoshi's calligraphy and painting. Li Hongyi, together with Li Rong in Jiange and Li Shifen in Zhongxian, are called "Three Li in Shu".

It can store three generations of Yi Ding, gold and stone tablets, legal books and famous paintings since Han and Tang Dynasties for self entertainment. He is friendly with Pan Zuyin and Mo Youzhi in Wuxian county. The book collection is printed with "Li family of Qijiang", "Su linjian collection" and so on.
