Scale and planning

Lingnan Art Museum has a total construction area of 8177 square meters. The whole building is divided into three floors with six exhibition halls, which can hold large-scale exhibitions and exhibitions of different themes at the same time or separately.

Among them, the exhibition hall on the first floor has a total area of 1237 square meters, with two exhibition halls; the exhibition hall on the second floor has a total area of 1336 square meters, with three exhibition halls; the exhibition hall on the ground floor has a total area of 628 square meters, with one exhibition hall; in addition, there is a modern multi-functional academic lecture hall with 171 seats, which can be used for academic exchanges.

All the exhibition halls of Lingnan art museum are equipped with Zhiye exhibition facilities according to the standards of national key art museums. They are equipped with professional display lighting, central air conditioning, complete sound, light and electricity systems and perfect electronic safety system. Some exhibition halls also have constant temperature function, which can meet the display requirements of high-grade art.

Display function

Lingnan Art Museum has six exhibition halls, with an indoor area of 3201 square meters and a fixed exhibition line of 1027 meters. The permanent exhibition will focus on Modern Lingnan art works and Guangdong contemporary art works, including sculpture, painting, calligraphy and other works. It can also hold all kinds of special exhibitions, invited exhibitions, etc.

Research function

Lingnan Art Museum emphasizes academic research. Relying on its collection of modern and contemporary art works in Lingnan area, Lingnan art museum will carry out theoretical research focusing on the history of modern and contemporary art in Lingnan area, as well as research on the function and business of Art Museum, so as to actively promote the development of Contemporary art. Collection exhibition hall

Exhibition hall No. 1 on the second floor is the collection exhibition hall of the art museum, which generally carries out the fixed display of collection works or Lingnan art historical materials and documents. The exhibition hall is equipped with enclosed glass display cabinets and desktop display cabinets.

Main exhibition hall

Hall 4 on the first floor is the largest and tallest exhibition hall of Lingnan Art Museum. It is located on the first floor, with a height of 12 meters. The connection between the architectural design traces of the old industrial era and the contemporary ideas makes it present a unique and modern aesthetic character. The basic lighting, central air conditioning, sound system and safety facilities of the exhibition hall are complete. In addition to the excellent display effect of general large-scale easel paintings, this exhibition hall is also particularly suitable for the display and display of larger installations and sculpture works, as well as the comprehensive stylistic display of modern image art, sound field art (New Music) and other categories of art works.
