Jin'aozhou tower is located at the Bank of Wanjiang bridge, 1km southwest of Dongguan City. Because it is located in jinaozhou, wanjiang, it is named. The ancient pagoda of jin'aozhou was built in 1597, the 25th year of Wanli in Ming Dynasty, and Hejian was built in 1624, which lasted for 27 years. It is reported that the purpose of building the tower is "to cultivate the atmosphere, which is also suitable for prospering the family.". It was originally a water Pagoda with 8 corners and 10 storeys. The top of the pagoda has a brake, without eaves, railings and brick teeth. Later, it was rebuilt in 1737, the second year of Qianlong reign of the Qing Dynasty. The base of the tower is only three or five meters away from the water. The tower is located in the middle of the river, surrounded by water on three sides. After more than 250 years, it has been completely preserved and has a solid foundation, towering on the shore of the Dongjiang River.

Architectural style

Cash Aozhou tower is 8 corners and 9 floors in plan, with red stone foundation and green brick tower of cavity ladder pavilion type. The tower, 50 meters high, is a tower brake made of pig iron, with a copper gourd on it and eight bells on the top corner. In June 1989, jin'aozhou tower was listed as one of the first batch of provincial cultural relics protection units.

Significance and value

The 400 year old jin'aozhou pagoda has attracted many Chinese and foreign tourists to enjoy it. It is of great historical and artistic value.
