Former residence of Deng Enming

--Deng Enming, also known as Enming and named Zhongyao, was born in Libo, Guizhou Province in 1901, of Shui nationality. The former residence is a tile roofed house with four rows and three civil structures. It faces east in the West and stands in the street.

--On the left side of the gate, there is an ancient banyan tree more than 200 years old. Its trunk is more than 10 meters long and about 15 meters high. Its branches and leaves are luxuriant, evergreen all the year round, and its roots are intertwined. The whole tree is like an umbrella crown.

--In November 1979, the former residence of the martyrs was listed as a key cultural relic protection unit at the provincial level by the provincial people's government, and the "martyrs' deeds exhibition room" was built on the right side of the former residence with funds successively. The indoor display includes pens, ink, inkstones, ink cartridges, jade jewelry, picture symbols, clothes hangers, lanterns, letters and other objects used by the martyrs in their youth, as well as pictures and materials about the martyrs' life and revolutionary deeds. There are also wooden beds, tables, chairs, stools, stone mills, medicine mills and eight wall clocks used by Deng Enming in his youth.

Former residence of Deng Enming

The former residence of martyr Deng Enming is located in Libo, 21 Xiangyang Road, north of Libo County, covering an area of more than 320 square meters. The front door plaque "former residence of martyr Deng Enming" was inscribed by Qiao Shi, former party and state leader.

The former residence of Deng Enming, a martyr in Libo, has been successively awarded by the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Propaganda Department of the CPC Central Committee and the provincial people's government as the cultural relics protection unit of Guizhou Province, the patriotic education base of Guizhou Province and the national defense education base of Guizhou Province.

In order to celebrate the 110th anniversary of Deng Enming's birth, the Party committee and government of Libo County renovated and expanded the former residence again. After the expansion, there are four rows and six ordinary residents' tile roofed houses with civil structure. They sit in the West and face the East, standing in the street, and can accommodate 250 people at the same time, nearly double the original 130 people.

Exhibition Room

There are also wooden beds, tables, chairs, stools, stone mills, medicine mills and eight wall clocks used by Deng Enming in his youth.

Guizhou Provincial People's government has repeatedly allocated funds to build a "martyrs' deeds exhibition room" on the right side of the former residence. The indoor display includes pens, ink, inkstones, ink cartridges, jade jewelry, picture symbols, clothes hangers, lanterns, letters and other objects used by the martyrs in their youth, as well as pictures and materials about the martyrs' life and revolutionary deeds.

In the exhibition room, there are inscriptions by Jiang Zemin, Hu Jintao and other party and state leaders.

Leader's inscription

Jiang Zemin, Chen Yun, Qiao Shi, Hu Jintao and other party and state leaders successively wrote inscriptions for the exhibition room. Qiao Shi and Hu Jintao visited the exhibition room in person.

Life of the characters

Deng Enming (1901-1931), the founder of the Communist Party of China, is an outstanding leader of the student movement and the worker movement in Shandong Province. Deng Enming is the youngest representative of the only ethnic minority (Shui nationality) among the 13 representatives of the Communist Party of China. He was born in 1901 in Libo, Guizhou Province. At the age of 16, he left his hometown to study in Shandong. He was admitted to No.1 Middle School of Shandong Province. He was elected as the head of the student autonomy Association in the May 4th movement. Then he and Wang Jinmei, the leader of the student union of Jinan First Normal University, established the Marxist society and Shandong Communist group, and became the representatives of the first, second and Fifth National Congress of the Communist Party of China. He also participated in the Communist International Conference The first meeting of the Far East Communist Party and the national revolutionary group was held in Moscow. He once served as the Secretary of the CPC Qingdao Municipal Committee, and served as the Secretary of the CPC Shandong Provincial Committee in August 1925. He once lectured at the central peasant movement lecture center presided over by Mao Zedong. In December 1928, Deng was arrested because of the traitor's informer. On April 5, 1931, he died bravely at the Weiba road execution ground in Jinan. He was 30 years old.
