Laodongmen site

Laodongmen site is located in the east of Guiyang city.

According to the records of Guizhou Tongzhi written by Qianlong of Qing Dynasty, the Fucheng of Guiyang is the Shunyuan city of Yuan Dynasty. The old Tucheng was set up in Shunyuan Dynasty. The East, West and south sides of the city are the same as today's city, and the north side only reaches the bell and drum tower (the entrance of today's Wangjia alley). The stone city of Guiyang, which was built twice in Ming Dynasty, really formed the basic pattern of the old city of Guiyang. The first time was in 1382, when the inner city of Guiyang was built. It was surrounded by nine Li and seven Fen, and five gates were built. The gate was called wusheng gate in the East, Chaojing gate in the south, Shengquan gate in the west, Rouyuan gate in the north and Dehua gate in the South. The second time was in 1626, when Zhang Heming, governor of Yunnan and Guizhou, and Wang Li, governor of Guizhou, built more than 600 feet of outer city outside the north gate, and set up four gates: Weiqing gate, Liuguang gate, Hongbian gate, and Xiaodong gate. In the early Qing Dynasty, in order to erase the traces of the previous dynasty and establish the orthodox thought of the Qing Dynasty, the local government changed the name of the city gate of the Ming Dynasty. According to the records of Guizhou Tongzhi written by Kangxi, gate 5: Zhaowen in the East, Yingen in the south, Guangji in the southwest, Zhenwu in the west, and Bude in the north. Shuiguan 2: there is a pool in the northeast and a riverside in the southwest.

The east gate is called Zhaowen gate, and there is Wenchang Pavilion on the city wall. The scenery outside the city is excellent, so it becomes a good place for people to visit and enjoy spring. (Qing Dynasty) Wang Fusheng wrote in his poem "drinking together in Wenchang Pavilion in spring to see peaches and plums": "the flowers blow on the clothes, and the clear light penetrates the forest valleys. The suburbs are green and green, with peaches and plums all over the city. "It depicts the beautiful scenery of the east gate.
