Tingxia Lake

Tingxia lake is located five kilometers away from Xikou Town, Fenghua City, a famous historical town at home and abroad. It is adjacent to the Jiuqu scenic spot of Shanxi in the south, which is known as the scenic spot of Yuezhong in ancient times. In the north, it is connected with Maitreya Daochang - Xuedou ancient temple, Qianzhang famous waterfall, Xufu fairyland and other scenic spots, which is one of the five famous Buddhist mountains. The lake is famous as the "Pearl of eastern Zhejiang" for its beautiful scenery, such as mountains and waters, sky and clouds, banks and islands, and many shadows. The lake has three islands and several peninsulas. The construction started in January 1978 and was completed in September 1985. The total cost is 50 million yuan. Tingxia lake is a man-made mountain lake with a surface area of 5.9 square kilometers and a water storage capacity of 153 million cubic meters, which is equivalent to seven Hangzhou West Lakes. The lake rock line is 42 kilometers long. The lake area is lush and deep. There are three islands and several peninsulas in the lake. Dahui and Xiaohui Junling in the center of the lake are named after Huang Chao, the leader of the peasant uprising in the late Tang Dynasty, who led the army to cross the country. Gao Yuanzhi of the Song Dynasty once wrote a good sentence: "Dahui comes out of Xiaohui, passing the green peaks, the cold clouds embracing the secluded stones, and the waterfalls flowing down the back of the clouds.". The former historical sites submerged by the lake now include Shanxi Academy, Baiyun bookstore and Weituo Bodhisattva temple, which is larger than Xuedou temple.

Starting from Ningbo south railway station

Route: take a minibus at Ningbo south station

How to get to the scenic spot after getting off the bus: after getting off the bus, go through wulingmen and see a bridge going all the way along Shanxi river. About 300 meters later, you will see a small bridge crossing the river on your left side. Go straight along the road and about 200 meters to the national highway. Then turn left and go straight along the National Highway (all the way along the river) and pass by Yinfeng villa to a fork in the road The main road is Yinfeng bridge. Don't cross the bridge. Go along the right road and get to the intersection of tingxiahu village. You can reach the tingxiahu reservoir if you continue.
