Hengjiang

Qiyun mountain's "Hengjiang Taiji rafting" with the theme of "enjoy Taiji and cross history" will be ceremoniously launched in May. It is a complement to the current rapid drifting, let us experience the joy of mountains and rivers in peace and harmony, return to nature, health and enlightenment. In the drifting, the smoke forest in the distant mountain, the wild flowers near the mountain, the pink walls and tiles on both sides of the river, and the four seasons' countryside form a meaningful picture. The 400 year old Dengfeng ancient bridge makes people feel like crossing.

Hengjiang

Hengjiang River, also known as Donggang and jiyangshui in ancient times, is another large tributary of Xin'an River. It is located on the left bank and originates at the south foot of Huangshan Mountain. Its tributaries include zhangshui River, Dongting River, Xiuning River, etc.

Hengjiang river is 65.2 km long. It starts from Jianxi of zhangshui River, passes through Yixian County to Yuting, turns to the southeast, and then passes through Xiuning County to Tunxi Old Bridge to Xin'an River. The drainage area is 997 square kilometers, accounting for 15.4% of the area of Xin'anjiang River Basin (in Anhui Province).

Its tributaries include zhangshui River, Dongting River, Xiuning River, etc. The Hengjiang river at the southern end of Yi county is traditionally regarded as the main source of Xin'an River.

Zhangshui, belonging to the Xin'an River system, is the main river to the south of the watershed of the county, and also the source of Hengjiang river. It originates from Baidingshan in Zhangling of the county, and its upper section is called Jianxi river. It goes out of Jianxi temple, joins Jingyuan River in Baishan village through Bishan, goes around the east of the city, joins Longchuan River in Henggang village, joins Fengxi River in Shishan village, joins Hengjiang River in Yuting in the south, and then turns east from Jieshou to Xiuning County. The total length of the main river is 25 kilometers, with a drainage area of 99.7 square kilometers. The normal flow is 292 m3 / s, the lowest flow is 0.15 m3 / s, the maximum flood flow is 1500 m3 / S (1904), and the widest part of the river is 81 M. There are 39 tributaries less than 10 km in length, 10 small reservoirs, 49 barrages and 31 river crossing bridges. Before 1950's, wooden boats could go from Tunxi to Hengjiang to Yuting. Now the riverbed is silted up seriously. Yushan River, belonging to Xin'an River system, originates in the south of Yinxi mountain. It joins Yangzhan river at Hongcun village, Jilian Township, and flows into Dongfanghong reservoir. It reaches jinjialing hydropower station through 4 km diversion canal. After power generation, the tail water flows into the north main canal to irrigate the farmland in Yicheng basin. The abandoned water of the reservoir flows to TANKOU village through Xikeng, joins with Shiyu River, flows into Xiuning through Xucun, Yecun and yujiatan, and joins Hengjiang at Dongting. The county's main river is 27 kilometers long, with a drainage area of 126.9 square kilometers. The normal flow is 4.22 m3 / s, the lowest flow is 0.1 m3 / s, the maximum flood flow is 1570 m3 / S (1933), and the widest part of the river is 42 meters. There are 16 tributaries less than 10 km in length, 14 barrages, 10 river crossing bridges and 4 small reservoirs built on the river.

Hengjiang is also known as jiyangshui, Donggang and baihexi. Baiding mountain, which originates from Zhangling of Yi County, flows eastward through Yuting to Dongting River, Longyuan river of Landu River, Zixi river of Yangcun River, Wanquan mountain of Chuanhu River, Wanan Town, Liuzhou River and Songluo river of fulaiqiao, langyuan river of Guanyinqiao, chenkeng water of Meilin and Tunxi city. Then through Xintan, longfu, Yanghu and Liushui, they flow into Xin'an River. The total length of the main river is 69.8 km, 40.2 km in the county, and the drainage area is 997 square kilometers, 556 square kilometers in the county. The upper reaches of the main channel flows through Qiyun mountain, and the two banks of the middle and lower reaches are open, which is the main part of Xiutun basin. The channel is smooth and the floodplain is relatively developed.
