Lion Peak

Shifeng, sh ī f ē ng (Chinese Pinyin), is located in the south of the North Island of Diaoyu Island. On September 20, 2012, it was officially named by the State Oceanic Administration and the Ministry of civil affairs.

According to the law of the people's Republic of China on the protection of islands, the State Oceanic Administration has standardized the names of some geographical entities in Diaoyu Islands and their surrounding waters. Approved by the State Council, the State Oceanic Administration and the Ministry of Civil Affairs announced the standard names of Diaoyu Island and some of its affiliated islands on September 20, 2012.
