Qinglongwan Ecotourism Zone

Qinglongwan ecotourism area covers Qinglong lake, surrounding towns and provincial Banqiao nature reserve, with a total area of 280 square kilometers. Qinglongwan ecotourism area integrates mountain scenery, waterscape and human landscape. It is rich in ecological resources and has a forest coverage rate of 78%. Qinglong lake is an artificial lake formed by harbor Bay Reservoir, a national large-scale water conservancy project, with water storage capacity of 941 million cubic meters. The lake covers an area of 34 square kilometers with 38 islands. Banqiao Nature Reserve has preserved more than 50000 mu of continuous natural Castanopsis eyrei forest, which is the only primeval forest with the best preserved and the most complete forest form in the northeast edge of north subtropical zone. In addition, Shizhu mountain and Gaofeng mountain have unique scenery, and Banqiao ancient karst cave group has been proved recently, which are of great development value.
