Huanggang Museum

Huanggang Museum Huangzhou, a provincial cultural city, was built in 1957. In 1958, Dong Biwu personally wrote the name of the museum.

There are 40981 pieces (sets) of cultural relics in the collection, including 19 pieces (sets) of first-class cultural relics, 19 pieces (sets) of second-class cultural relics and 962 pieces (sets) of third-class cultural relics.

For a long time, Huanggang Museum has been responsible for the investigation, exploration and excavation of underground cultural relics in the city. In coordination with the national and local economic construction, especially in the major projects of Beijing Kowloon Railway, Wuma expressway, Wuying Expressway and Wuhe railway, a lot of cultural relics protection work has been done, and hundreds of valuable cultural relics have been excavated. The newly built Huanggang museum was officially opened on September 22, 2012. With a new spirit and development concept, it is committed to inheriting Chinese civilization and promoting national culture.

In September 2018, it was identified as a national second-class Museum.

Basic Display

Ancient homeland

This paper introduces the history of fishing, hunting, gathering and labor creation of Huanggang ancestors in prehistoric period. Large scale scenes are used to restore prehistoric sites.

NaNTU Yangyue

During the Xia, Shang and Zhou dynasties, Huanggang was in the southern part of Shang and Zhou Dynasties and the historical stage of disputes among countries. The bronze objects of Shang and Zhou dynasties are displayed, and the scenes of Baiju battle, the Western Zhou architectural model of maojiazui in Qichun, and the Warring States Tomb of Yuwang city are restored.

Pluralistic integration

During the Han, Wei and Six Dynasties, Huanggang had a history of early immigration movement, continuous wars and cultural integration. More than 100 pieces of precious cultural relics such as Han Wei bronzes and celadon ware of the Six Dynasties are on display.

Wenhua wusheng

From the Sui and Tang Dynasties to the Ming and Qing Dynasties, Huanggang has a long history of famous people, prosperous culture and prosperous economy. Nearly 100 pieces of exquisite jade and gold ware are on display.

Huanggang ancient city exhibition

Taking the time series of Huanggang's historical development as the main line, through the contents of cultural relics, graphic materials, model sand table and scenes, this paper shows the long development history of the important urban buildings in Macheng yujiazhai, jinluojia site, Yuwang city of Huangzhou, Luozhou city of Qichun, Qizhou City, especially the ancient city of Huangzhou, as well as the battle of Ying City and the battle of Luozhou city The scene of the great war shows the dialectical effect of the war on the development of the city; the large sand table of Yuwang city in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty and Huangzhou City in the Qing Dynasty directly reflects the development and changes of the ancient city of Huangzhou. Xu Gong buys copper

Spring and autumn. It is rectangular in plane, straight in mouth, straight in lower abdomen, with four feet in the shape of curved ruler. Bright yellow glaze covered jar with hidden pattern, Ming Dynasty. The inside and outside of the ware are covered with delicate yellow glaze. The underglaze is engraved with a dragon pattern on the cover, a wreath of lotus on the shoulder, waves and sea water patterns on the rest of the body, and six characters of double circle regular script "Jiajing year system of Ming Dynasty" under the foot glaze.
