Hunan Hefu National Forest Park is located in the western suburb of Changde City, Hunan Province, with a total area of 333.33 hectares. The forest park is located in a continental climate zone, with an annual average temperature of 16.7 ℃, annual average precipitation of 1348.3 mm and annual sunshine hours of 1713.1 hours. The vegetation types are subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest and shrub forest, and the forest vegetation coverage rate is more than 90%.

Forest Park is an ecological park integrating natural landscape, cultural landscape and forest health care functions. It has 56 mountains and 42 valleys, and is known as the "green pearl" in Northwest Hunan.

In December 1994, it was approved as a national forest park by the former State Forestry Administration.

Human resources

According to the source of papers in 2010, there is Taihe temple, a religious site in Hefu National Forest Park, Hunan Province. It was built in the northern and Southern Dynasties and has been destroyed for several times in history. Now it is the remains of post-war reconstruction. The beacon towers used to be ancient battlefields can be seen vaguely, and the remains of the mingdiao castle still exist in wartime
