Taohua Village

Taohua village belongs to niuping village, Huanghua Township, Yiling District, Yichang City, Hubei Province. Taohua village, formerly known as taoshuping, is located on the Bank of Xiling Gorge of nanjinguan, Yichang City, Hubei Province, across the river from Gezhouba project, adjacent to baimadong and Xialaoxi. It is the only scenic spot in Yichang City and even central China, which is based on the collection and preservation of the diversity of peach blossom species resources, and combines peach blossom varieties with peach blossom culture, so as to make people know and understand the rich species resources of peach blossom. Covering an area of 123 mu, there are 47 varieties of peach blossom, with a total of more than 4000 plants, including the rare varieties at home and abroad, such as hongbitao, baibitao, sajinbitao, etc. the production period is scattered around, and the wild peach blossoms the earliest, so it is the spontaneous peach, fruit peach, flower peach, showing a rising and falling trend. Peach blossom is the landscape tree species. It consists of Zhaojun garden, dragon and Phoenix boat, Zhaojun pool, spring sound, Shouzi stele, Zhaojun ferry, homesick bridge and other scenic spots.

It is said that during the reign of the Yuan emperor of the Western Han Dynasty, Wang Zhaojun of Zigui (now Xingshan, Hubei Province) in Nanjun county was elected to the palace. He sailed down from the Three Gorges of the Yangtze River and went to the palace

Nanjinguan abandoned the ship and transferred to the dragon and Phoenix post car to go north. With peach trees all over the mountain and peach blossoms in full bloom, Zhaojun was attracted by the beautiful scenery here. After a few days in Taohua village, he went north. Therefore, Taohua village is also known as "Zhaojun garden".

Taohua village scenic spot is close to mountains and rivers, with towering rocks. Since its opening to the outside world in 1989, 23 scenic spots have been built, such as Taohuaxi waterfall, Sphinx stone, homesick bridge, Ditui Pavilion, Zhaojun pool, Zhaojun ferry, taohuayu hall, etc. When the peach blossom is in full bloom, by the side of the river at the foot of the mountain, there are thousands of red clouds and emerald colors, which make the tourists forget to return.

Origin of peach blossom

Peach blossom, one of the famous flowers in China, was cultivated in the Zhou Dynasty, more than 3000 years ago, and spread abroad during the reign of Emperor Wu of the Han Dynasty. When spring is full and the wind is warm, more than 40 varieties and nearly 2000 peach blossoms in Taohua village are in full bloom. It's extremely beautiful.

"In April, the peach blossoms begin to bloom in the mountain temple, and there is no place to look for spring. I don't know where to turn." Bai Juyi, a great poet of the Tang Dynasty, praised the Peach Blossom Village as a wonderful scenery in the Three Gorges gallery.

In 1997, Taohua village management office and Nanjing Zhongjing Industrial Co., Ltd. jointly invested more than one million yuan to build a large-scale "Water Margin" figure and animal sculpture exhibition in the park, with 24 panoramic groups and more than 169 sculptures, selected from China's classical masterpiece "Water Margin", which captures some well-known stories, adopts traditional antique carving techniques and heavy color craft effects, and draws on art forms such as painting and drama In the present form, it vividly reproduces the various images of 108 generals of Liangshan heroes in shuipo. The characters have their own verve, and they are all the same. Its technique of expression and scale are the first in the country.
